Forest explorers will discover how nature and math intersect in this outdoor math camp at the Kruckeberg Botanic Garden. Beginning with the Fibonacci Sequence, campers will uncover the mysterious pattern that seems to flow through many forms of flora and fauna, making many wonder: is math the key to the universe? Then, curious campers will examine fractals; beautiful shapes found in the branches of trees, lightning bolts across the sky, and the patterns rivers make as they flow. With all their discoveries, campers will use their creative energy to make beautiful art and jewelry to take home, reminding them that the natural world is infinitely full of wonder!
